Finally I speak

You know... It's rlly so true that when the bible says, out of the abundance of your heart, your mouth speaks...

Now my heart is filled w so so so many things so it's time to "speak" and rant it out.

June is gonna be a very very very very very... If I can continue typing very, it would be very long... But very busy month.

1) suntec AEI
2) Youth camp (all the practices, planning etc...)
3) application for Uni (FINALLY!!!)
4) decisions to make this June

So many happened since you know I last typed.... So many breaking, so many chastening and so many busy schedules and so many decision makings.

Sometimes I really missed those days when someone else could make decisions for me again, or maybe if the choices could be a little more simple. Like after primary school, I know I would move on to secondary, and then to poly or Jc.

But yeah, people have to grow up and xy got to grow up. And as we grow older, the decisions we make actually affects much more than we used to do.

Cant start from where i rllly wanna start but now I know if I can't complete my application asap, my heart won't be in peace. Hahaha.

A little passive yet a little excited how far I am gonna be stretched this June. But I know, every decision I make, He is here and will walk thru w me.

I will stay strong and stay here.
I won't give up, becuz xy doesn't gives up!!! :)

The Heart

Sometimes i wonder other than God, who can see our hearts...

When everything is stripped away, no name to the body, no outer covering to cover us, no good appearances, no height no nothing to us now, but just the heart..

How would we look like?

Above all Else,
The heart is so important.

A Heart thats ever true..
One that follows You...
I pray.

A Right Heart

1) A right heart is a NEW heart (Ezek. 36:26). It is not the heart with which a person is born—but another heart put in them by the Holy Spirit. It is a heart which has new tastes, new joys, new sorrows, new desires, new hopes, new fears, new likes, new dislikes. It has new views about the soul, sin, God, Christ, salvation, the Bible, prayer, heaven, hell, the world, and holiness. It is like a farm with a new and good tenant. “Old things are passed away. Behold all things are become new” (2 Cor. 5:17).

2) A right heart is a BROKEN and CONTRITE heart (Psalm 51:17). It is broken off from pride, self-conceit, and self-righteousness. Its former high thoughts of self are cracked, shattered, and shivered to atoms. It thinks itself guilty, unworthy, and corrupt. Its former stubbornness, heaviness, and insensibility have thawed, disappeared, and passed away. It no longer thinks lightly of offending God. It is tender, sensitive, and jealously fearful of running into sin (2 Kings 22:19). It is humble, lowly, and self-abased, and sees in itself no good thing.

3) A right heart is a heart which BELIEVES on Christ alone for salvation, and in which Christ dwells by faith (Rom. 10:10; Eph. 3:17). It rests all its hopes of pardon and eternal life on Christ’s atonement, Christ’s mediation, and Christ’s intercession. It is sprinkled in Christ’s blood from an evil conscience (Heb. 10:22). It turns to Christ as the compass-needle turns to the north. It looks to Christ for daily peace, mercy, and grace—as the sun-flower looks to the sun. It feeds on Christ for its daily sustenance, as Israel fed on the manna in the wilderness. It sees in Christ a special fitness to supply all its needs and requirements. It leans on Him, hangs on Him, builds on Him, cleaves to Him, as its physician, guardian, husband, and friend.

4) A right heart is a PURIFIED heart (Acts 15:9; Matt. 5:8). It loves holiness, and hates sin. It strives daily to cleanse itself from all filthiness of flesh and spirit (2 Cor. 7:1). It abhors that which is evil, and cleaves to that which is good. It delights in the law of God, and has that law engraved on it, that it may not forget it (Psalm 119:11). It longs to keep the law more perfectly, and takes pleasure in those who love the law. It loves God and people. Its affections are set on things above. It never feels so light and happy as when it is most holy; and it looks forward to heaven with joy, as the place where perfect holiness will at length be attained.

5) A right heart is a PRAYING heart. It has within it “the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba Father” (Rom. 8:15). Its daily feeling is, “Your face, Lord, will I seek” (Psalm 27:8). It is drawn by an habitual inclination to speak to God about spiritual things—weakly, feebly, and imperfectly perhaps—but speak it must. It finds it necessary to pour out itself before God, as before a friend, and to spread before Him all its needs and desires. It tells Him all its secrets. It keeps back nothing from Him. You might as well try to persuade a person to live without breathing, as to persuade the possessor of a right heart to live without praying.

6) A right heart is a heart that feels CONFLICT within it (Gal. 5:17). It finds within itself two opposing principles contending for the mastery—the flesh lusting against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh. It knows by experience what Paul means when he says, “I see a law in my members warring against the law of my mind” (Rom. 7:23). The wrong heart knows nothing of this strife. The strong man armed keeps the wrong heart as their palace, and their goods are at peace (Luke 11:21). But when the rightful King takes possession of the heart, a struggle begins which never ends until death. The right heart may be known by its warfare, quite as much as by its peace.

7) A right heart is HONEST, UNDIVIDED, and TRUE (Luke 8:15;1 Chron. 12:33; Heb. 10:22). There is nothing about it of falsehood, hypocrisy, or image-acting. It is not double or divided. It really is what it professes to be, feels what it professes to feel, and believes what it professes to believe. Its faith may be feeble. Its obedience may be very imperfect. But one thing will always distinguish the right heart. Its religion will be real, genuine, thorough, and sincere.

 ► Summary:

A heart such as that which I have now described, has always been the possession of all true Christians of every name, nation, people and tongue. They have differed from one another on many subjects—but they have all been of a right heart. Some of them have fallen, for a season, like David and Peter—but their hearts have never entirely departed from the Lord. They have often proved themselves to be men and women laden with infirmities—but their hearts have been right in the sight of God. They have understood one another on earth. They have found that their experience was everywhere one and the same. They will understand each other even better in the world to come. All that have had right hearts upon earth, will find that they have one heart when they enter heaven.

A Heart ever for Him. Abba, have Your way in me.
You are the One i exist for, the One i live for.
The Prayer of calling out to my Father.. Abba, Abba.
A personal relationship is what i really want.

Sun: When you turn to prayer, you turn from being Self-Centered to God-Centered.

Hebrews 12

The Race of Faith (V1-2)

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Laying aside every single weight.
Looking towards Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

He roots us in His system, so we wont be uprooted so easily.

For the joy set before Him, and xy, for the joy set before you xy.

With the cloud of witnesses, i will run on.

Sarah will birth forth Ïsaac.
My dreams will come to pass. :)

Working vs Studying

Working vs Studying

Working
- you have a fixed timing of work
- usually it is 40hours a week not including OT
- you cannot pontank
- you spend most of your time at work
- you only have time after your work to hang out w friends when usually you are almost half-dead

Studying
- timetable changes every sem
- lesser than 40hours per week definitely
- usually flexible
- you can make a choice to pontank
- you can spend more time w your friends, whoever you want to spend with

So the main difference I'm actually comparing is the TIME factor.

To be straight, students will never know how working adults aka me, feel unless they are studying cum working.

The time we have are really so little that I make choices and opportunity cost on where I should be at. But thank God I can make my choice on how I wanna spend my time with. What I spend my time on, shows what is important to me.

It doesn't mean other stuff or ppl are not impt when I am not there all the time. But when time doesn't permit, I'm really sorry.

Hahaha I guess this is just an ranting post.

But I really don't mind being so busy at work. At least I know why I am busy for, serving is sucha privilege. Having services at Expo is sucha privilege. & I guess my calling is truly to BUILD the HoG literally.

I don't need to be at the pastoral team or anywhere else to prove my worth. My maturity doesn't come from my position. But it comes from my capacity to be faithful.

I wanna stay even more faithful...

Preference vs Commitment

When my world was in darkness
You spoke Your Word and night turn into Day...

Choosing what i want among choices, that my Preference. I may prefer choice A over choice B, and I choose the one I like better. But let Him never be my preference but my commitment.

Even when all seems hard, I stick to my commitment, but ultimately, He is too my preference. I choose Him out of all my choices that I have.

2013, Jesus You are, my preference, my commitment.

New resolutions for 2013, after setting all my old resolutions, it's gonna be more specific, and I will achieve it.

Even if my world is in silence, fill my heart w songs of praise.
Let it be different next year I pray... :)

Let me be changed, let me be changed in Your presence

Finally i found an MP3 of this song..

Here is Love

The Cross I see
That rugged Tree
Tells of Grace & Mercy
Redemption's Blood
All over me
Living in Your Beauty

Love how amazing God is. This year had been a big year of transitions, many up and downs but despite it all He is here.

2012 You have been good. Even though I cannot reverse all that was domed, I can start everything new in 2013.

Another busy year next year but all worth it. Cuz I'm living in Your Beauty. :)

Remind myself

I want to know the One,
Who holds my hands in this race that i run,
My helper and friend
Holy Spirit, i love You to the end.

I want more of You O Lord,
More of You Holy Spirit,
Living Water flowing from within
As I Yield myself to You,
Move in my life like never before...
More of You Holy Spirit

Reminding myself of all the days that i walked down this race of my life.
Without Him, without wanting more.. I dont think i will be here today.
Never lose the wanting, the thirsting xy..
Simplicity...

& i like what Alicia shared w me ytd.
Need to find time to pen it down... :)

Search my heart..

Change my heart oh God,
 Make it ever true.
Change my heart oh God,
 May I be like You.

 You are the potter,
 I am the clay,
 Mold me and make me,
 This is what I pray.

Thought of the day

Putting myself in other people shoes, and doing what Jesus will do....

Compassion.

Side note,
Really love what Dr AR Bernard preached. like woah, brand new mindset & fresh man-na.

Knowing when to say STOP.
Faith knows where to draw BOUNDARIES.
I know where to stop thinking of negative, but also know what point is not being naive.
In midst of opposition, you find opportunity. In midst of weaknesses, you find strength.
Just love this week. Got to get fresh word!!!!!!!

and more and more.
Time to meditate on the Word. :):):)

&&&& HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY MY IRRITATING SISTER.
Borned into the same family, yet being so different. irritating but lovable. Thanks for being here when i needed someone to hear my rants even though most of the time you dont get it. but im still thankful you are here. You're stuck w me for life. sorry dear. But love love!

Comparison

If we compare ourselves with others, it would take eternity long. Cause truth is, we will never be perfect. :)

We make the choice

Just as this boy was reflecting on his life, he turned back his life to one year ago when he entered into mild depression days. He remembered at that point of time, he decided to let everyone out of his life and shut himself away from people. After a while, he chose to open up to a friend, got better but yet he went back to self-pitying again. He continued his busy yet 'lonely' life. He felt an emptiness and he prayed and prayed again for someone, or an angel or a friend to come to talk to him, to befriend him. He wanted to change yet at the same time, he kept reminding himself of times he was disappointed by people, that even when friends wanted to come closer and "enter" his life, he never opened up. He was disappointed once again and he went back to "self-depression" days again. He cried and cried and cried, asking God, "Where were You when i need You....", but he never realised, he had turned down the prayer answers when God was answering them.

Time will continue ticking irregardless how we are feeling. Time do shows everything but if we don't make any choices, we wont see anything happening. Choices made shows us who we really are.

Sudden reminder to myself, "Who we are in one year from down is determined by the thoughts we allow in our head and who we allow in our lives one year to come." We have the choice to allow who we want to become. We choose the thoughts that should stay in our head. We choose the friends we want to be in our life. & we cannot go around blaming people for who we have become, JUST BECAUSE we didn't make a choice to accept or to make effort to change our situation.

Ultimately all of us have a choice to make us become the person we want to.

& sometimes some things means so much to some people.
Was watching X-Factor on Youtube (and its really woohoo) and to win that show or to stay in the game is their life. But all of them know, to stay in the game, they have to pay a price, to practise their vocals, their stage presence and it means hard work. They can pray hard to win, but if they don't put in any effort to practise, all will boil down to nothing. Faith without works is dead.

What we really want shows who we really are.

But still... I pray my choice is His choice. :)

Do not take something Holy as common

"Their irreverence took place after the revelation of God's glory. Though they(Nadah and Abihu) were priests, they were not exempt from rendering God honor. They sinned by approaching a holy God as though He were common! They had become too familiar with His presence.

God had already made it clear that irreverence could not survive in the presence of a holy God. God is not mocked. Today is no different; He is the same Holy God. We cannot expect to be admitted into His presence with an attitude of disrespect...."

- The Fear of the Lord - John Bevere
I pray... May i never ever treat His holy things as something common. Never.. Cause i never want to lose His presence.

Life like it is

I wonder why people refer to my old archives... but it made me interested in my old life.

I guess my older younger days are more interesting than what it is now. Going out, having lots of party or celebrations... But i have no regrets or i should have no regrets. Because the life i have now is much better, and it is and i should be thankful!

Ps 73:1-5

No doubt about it! God is good—
good to good people, good to the good-hearted.
But I nearly missed it,
missed seeing his goodness.
I was looking the other way,
    looking up to the people
At the top,
envying the wicked who have it made,
Who have nothing to worry about,
not a care in the whole wide world.

Got reminded of the above verse again and again. He is good and forever good.

And i rlly llike what PK shared ytd during svc. Elijah's a man of unstable emotions, had sucidal thoughts, ran away, but yet he was still able to call down fire. If he could do it in the old testament with limited righteousness, what about us in the new testament with unlimited righteousness.

He is UNLIMITED
Stop staying in your LIMITED THOUGHTS.

I thank God for my life, my family, my boyfriend, my friends, my cellgroup and all and all.

Even in times when things doesnt go my way, still i PRAISE. still i GIVE THANKS.
No more looking at the other way... But FOCUS on HIS WAY.

So much more

So much to learn..
So much to change.
So much to lean on.
So much to TRUST.

Fear of the Lord

Bought "The Fear of the Lord" last Sunday and just the first chapter was so woah.

Fear of the Lord brings us closer... Not a spirit of fear but a reverence.. to want to know more.
